Why does spouting matter so much?
Because it manages all the water your roof sheds. When it fails, that water runs down your walls and pools around your foundations, leading to damp, rot and structural problems. Good spouting is cheap insurance against expensive damage.
How do I know my spouting needs replacing?
Overflowing in rain, sagging or uneven lines, rust streaks or splits, staining on the wall below, and plants growing out of the gutter are all signs. We can tell you whether a failed run can be replaced on its own or whether the whole system is tired enough to do in one go.
Is gutter guard worth it?
On the right home, yes, especially under trees or on two-storey houses where clearing gutters is a pain. It greatly reduces debris and overflow, but it does not make gutters completely maintenance-free. We will tell you honestly whether your place is a good candidate.
How often should gutters be cleaned?
Once or twice a year for most homes, and more often under heavy tree cover. A clear-out heading into winter is the single best-value maintenance job you can do, because blocked gutters cause overflow, leaks and water damage.
